Stations in accordance with RR footnote 5.450A, shall not claim protection from the radiodetermination services. Radiodetermination services shall not impose on the mobile service more stringent protection criteria, based on system characteristics and interference criteria, than those stated in ITU Recommendation M.1638. In accordance with RR footnote 5.450B, stations in the radiolocation service shall not in the band 5470–5650 MHz, except ground-based radars used for meteorological purposes in the band 5600–5650 MHz, cause harmful interference to, nor claim protection from, radar systems in the maritime radionavigation service. In accordance with RR footnote 5.452, may be in the sub-band 5600–5650 MHz operated ground-based radars used for meteorological purposes on a basis of equality with stations of the maritime radionavigation service.
